Kyoo 109

I finally uploaded all of my MesoAmerica pictures so I plan on posting some every now and again as I sort through them and get them organized. Then I can share more of my trip because I haven't really talked about it with anyone yet and it was really an awesome experience.

However, as I was uploading them I came across a few I just had to share immediately. This is mostly to help Sidekick through her week but it is also part of a birthday present for Snickers.

By the way, Happy Birthday Snickers! I love you girl and just wish I could have celebrated with you all weekend in Las Vegas. Since there weren't very many hot guys there (last I heard from her), maybe these will make up for it:

Yes, it's probably a little pathetic that I visit Chichen Itza and walk away with a dozen pictures of one guy but come on, look at him! He was beautiful. And so much confidence! Gotta respect that. Not too many other people were walking around in Spandex.

Now if only I could have watched him play the ball game.....

Have a great day :)

I have to brag. Yesterday I not only drove myself to work, but I made it to P4 in the parking garage. That's almost up to the top. Which is a big step. It's basically the furthest I've ever driven on campus. I'm slowly gaining confidence there.

They put on a big picnic lunch for all the interns so I had a 4-hour lunch yesterday where I got to eat BBQ, play kickball, and talk to all the managers of interns. It was pretty sweet. Learned lots and got to kick some trash on the kickball field.

Babar is all back from the shop and feeling lots better. But, I still haven't found my Six Flags season pass. Sad day, I know.

My swing dancing skills are improving......still not quite up to par with my hip hop though!

I also realized today that taxes suck, BUT, I'm so thankful to be a U.S. citizen that I don't mind paying them quite as much as I used to. But they still suck. Especially after I saw the effect that they had on my first check. Ouch. I guess it's only going to get worse though.

Well, that's the news for now. San Antonio rocks.

Have a great day :)

Kyoo 107

I already lost my season pass to Six Flags. Which means that instead of riding rollercoasters right now like I had planned on doing after work, I'm helping a guy buy clothes.

Fun, but not anything like Six Flags.

Don't you feel sorry for me?

Have a great day :)

Kyoo 106

I'm back from my MesoAmerica tour and have:

  • A cute, new apartment
  • Two awesome and fun roommates
  • An internship with USAA
  • My own cubicle
  • A business cell phone
  • No idea what I'm doing yet
Work is so rewarding. I haven't quite settled but I at least understand (mostly) the layout of the mile-long building and didn't get lost today. And I stayed awake through 3 different meetings. Long meetings. And not only did I stay awake but I comprehended about 20% of what they were talking about. I thought I did pretty good.

But, it was such a learning experience. I almost cried at one point cause I had no idea what I was doing and the place was so big and there were so many people! Okay, I didn't almost cry but I was scared. And I don't get scared too often. The last time I was that scared was probably my first college class. But even that doesn't hold much comparison.

In different news, I baked cookies in my car. Me and my roommates parked on the roof of the parking garage so the cookies were in direct sunlight all day and sure enough, when we walked out after work we had fresh-baked cookies waiting for us! It's still going to take some tweaking because they were slightly burnt (pretty hot here) but I think we'll have the process mastered by the end of the summer.

Fun times.

Have a great day :)
