Snickers thinks that I don't want to be around here anymore. That's not true. There's a lot I like about Rexburg:
I love Broulims. I can find everything I need in that grocery store and I still love the paintings and the fake chicken coop. And their Craigos pizza section. And all the cheeses. And the samples. And the thunderstorms in the produce aisle. And the memories I've made there like seeing Santa Clause and trying an Idaho Spud bar for the first time.
I also love the Menan Buttes. Just a quick 15 minute drive or just under an hour-long bike ride and I can enjoy a great trail run, fantastic views, and time to think. And Caribou. There's a Caribou farm nearby.
Not to mention the hundreds of hikes that are in the area. And bridge-jumping.
Then there's the duck pond. Enough said.
The people here are great too. Very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. I have lots of "friends" just from running in the Hart field house. The elderly people walking there have so much to share!
I do want to be here. I need to settle down and not get too excited for the future. The grass is not greener on the other side. And I know that my problems will not be solved upon graduation. There will be more problems.
But, is it too much to ask for above-freezing weather?
Maybe soon?
And I still want to do Hawaii's International Business program. Blasted 90-credit transfer rule. Everything would have worked marvelously!
So, Snickers, I like it here. And we're going to keep on having fun for semesters to come.
Have a great day :)
