Kyoo 122

The first week of school went by really slow. This one flew by. And I have a feeling that the rest of them are going to be like the second week. I'm getting settled into a routine for the semester and I really like my classes and activities.

I was supposed to go on a hike with a bunch of friends this morning but it's raining so the little outing got called off. Rexburg was so nice this past week and showered us with sun and warmth (in the afternoon, of course - the mornings are always freezing). But, all things must come to an end and now we're back in cloudy, rainy, cold weather. Though I doubt good weather ever ends in Hawaii or the Caribbean...

Pictures! This is one I took of Jordie that I thought turned out really well. She's just very photogenic and turns on the right stuff for the camera.

We went fishing for Labor Day while I was home. Oh what fun! My dad got to run around the whole time assembling poles, untangling lines, and re-attaching lost lures. It was really funny for those of us observing but he wasn't amused.

Another thing on the topic of fishing: none of us kids have what it takes to use real worms. We just can't stand spearing them to get them on the hook. So we used gummy worms. And no, we didn't catch anything.

The moon! My camera has a decent zoom and can actually get the details of the moon. It's fun to play with. This is kind of a plain shot but I still like it.

This is me being a dork in my military fatigues. I'm in a beginning ROTC class just for fun this semester. It doesn't require that you enlist in the military but you still get to do all the fun stuff for training. This week we learned how to tie a swiss seat rappel harness and then practice actually rappelling off a rock. It was so fun! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. And I'm beginning to feel more comfortable when I'm roped in climbing and such. Last time I wasn't scared at all and actually trusted the rope and the belayer. Crazy.

And now I'm going to brag about my sisters. Their volleyball team is doing awesome this year and is currently undefeated (7-0). They are right on track to qualify for state and I really hope they make it. Though I wish I could be there to watch it!

Have a great day :)
