Happy Halloween!
It's still pretty warm and that means another weekend of hiking. Sidekick and I are going for an overnighter now. We'll see how it turns out. I'm taking my fleece footie pajamas and plenty of packages of hand warmers to stuff in my sleeping bag. We're going to freeze at night but it'll be fun.
And now to cut to the chase. I just made a connection. My parents let me sleep on my stomach and knees with my butt in the air like so when I was a child. I think that's why I have such a big butt. It received such emphasis when I was a young child and just got used to being pushed out. To all parents out there who want their children to have a normal size booty, do not let them sleep like this! That is all I have to say about that. I'm going to eat a couple scoops of icecream and a few bags of potato chips now.
Haha, kidding...
Pictures! Here's Big Burns creek (actually, this might be Little Burns...) from a hike last weekend. The cascading water is so calming. I could have sat on that log and watched it for hours.
Just me being a dork on one of the rocks next to the trailhead.
Sidekick performing an "operation" on my leg after the hike to remove a foreign object. A really sharp twig lodged itself in there. I was finally able to squeeze it out last night (which felt so cool by the way) after it had been festering all week. Obviously Sidekick did not get it all out during this attempt.
Climbing! Sidekick, Scott, and I went out to Heise Rock today to celebrate Halloween in only the best way. And the poetry is over. But this was a successful climb and I enjoyed it quite a lot. It's getting less and less scary each time.
Belaying Scott.
Me in all my action. The route was only about 40-50 feet tall and a 5.8 but it still took some effort. Top-roping is really enjoyable but I think it will be a while (if ever) when I feel ready to lead climb anything. I decided that I want to marry a good climber. Then he can do the lead climb to set up the route and I can just keep enjoying the safety of a top-rope.
I also got to enjoy a Pirates-themed symphony concert this past week and catch up with a few of my horn pals. I miss playing Calvin so much! I can't wait to get back home and start playing again. It's been too long.
Have a great day :)

Hmmm... I don't know about your booty explaination there. I know I definitely slept like that when I was little,(my parents called me "stink bug" whenever I did) and I don't think I have a big butt.. well, it certainly isn't as trunkalicious as yours is.
I can't believe you had minor surgery and didn't call me....
Come eat hummus! that is all.
