But the taxis are fancy should you need to utilize them.
Slightly related, boarding flights on Southwest in the "C" boarding group is a little like walking into the lunch cafeteria late when all your friends are mad and ignoring you.
There was an incident leaving the campsite yesterday morning wherein I almost rammed our Jeep into a tree. In a 10 mph zone.
It was justified though. I had just discovered ketchup on my clean shorts! Thankfully that crisis was narrowly averted.
Also, I have now driven in rush-hour Chicago traffic 3 times. And I'm a little more thankful for San Antonio.
We finally hit up Chicago yesterday. (possibly feeling the effects of our Wisconsin cheese buffet from the prior day but we won't detail that...)
I kissed the bean. But not really because how many people get all up on it every hour? Too many.
We walked and wandered all over the city.
I lost my CTA card (don't try to call it a metro card...apparently there is a huge difference...) in Chinatown. Sat in a bakery listening to Chinese and sampling fine Asian pastries. And bought heaps of broken fortune cookies. I hope that's not bad luck.
(they were going to end up broken anyways and the broken ones saved us $1.50!)
This fortune needs to come true.
Here I am trying "bubble tea" for the first time. Interesting but I liked it. The tapioca balls got old after a while.
The building formerly known as the Sears Tower.
This doesn't look as scary as it should. But that is a glass platform at the top. And it took me a solid five minutes of self-coaching to stand on it.
The glass did not look thick enough...
White Sox vs Mariners game.
There needs to be more home runs in baseball. Fireworks! Now that's excitement.
Completely unrelated and entirely meant for the Gregbeau: if you ever gift me this necklace, it's over. Deal. Breaker.
That is all.
Wait, I feel the need to be a little sappy first.
Though I'm sad our trip has to end early and the thought of going back to work makes me want to cry, it's sure been a great time. The Alishafried and I are pretty unstoppable as travel companions. It's not every lifetime you find a buddy who understands you in every way and is always on the same page.
We sure rocked the road with our adventurous spirits and copious (just for you) amounts of caffeine.
Next year? Next year.
Have a great day :-)
