And on another note, I was recently approached and given several options for how I wanted to participate in convocation this December. Among those was speaking. As I debated, I realized that it would probably be a long, boring ceremony and if I had to sit through it anyways I might as well make it as interesting as possible. So I'm speaking at my college's convocation. Sidekick put in the argument that if she's going to be sitting through it that she'd rather be listening to my voice and not "some other dope's". How kind.
Anyways, I see three positives:
- I won't be bored (instead I'll be shaking and nervous).
- I'm pretty sure I'll get to use a teleprompter for the first time.
- It's one last chance to broadcast my single status and attract a mate.
