Yoo 305 - St. Patrick's Day

I didn't find any shamrocks...but there are pretty flowers outside the hotel.

After returning to the hotel for a stinging shower (nothing like re-igniting that chaffing fire...), a couple ibuprofen, and a long nap, we woke up just in time for the sunset. And dinner. And second dinner.

You better believe he sported that finisher bling for the rest of the day. It sparked many a conversation with random strangers, got him a seat on the metro (more than once), and gave him a free pass to eat whatever he wanted. We can pretend it got him a discount on dinner, too.

It's a pretty cool medal.

Emphatically talking about that medal.

St. Patrick's Day on King Street. Complete with corned beef and cabbage. (can we all agree that cabbage is gross? the gregbeau loves it...and right now i love that i don't share a hotel room with him...).

Whilst waiting for a table at the wildly decorated (and delicious) King Street Blues restaurant, I started perusing thru a local newspaper with an article talking about the legend of St. Patrick and the history behind other symbols of this "holiday". I wasn't picking up much until suddenly, my eyes browsed across "no snakes in Ireland". No snakes in Ireland??

I now have at least two reasons to move to Ireland.

(the accents are still number one).

I'll get to a race recap...eventually.

Have a great day :-)
