Just look at this girdle.
All cheesy smiles and a high school graduate! Woot woot! And also the bearer of a very delicious cake...
The Gregbeau and I got to be there for this Smilmeister's graduation a little over a week ago.
Slightly related tangent, I'm not sure why we call her Smil. But I think it came about with one of the Kyoo mom's impromptu songs and rhyming. Something along the lines of "Smiley smelly Smilly..." with all sorts of subsequent versus.
But back to the cake.
I'll be honest, we were 95% there for support and at least 5% there for the cake. And bowls of M&Ms.
The graduation itself was special. I ran around playing photographer while she spoke as Salutatorian and the school boarding Kyoo Dad handed her that well-deserved diploma.
There was sentimental music as all the graduates hugged their very favoritest loved ones and gave them a single red rose.
Of course I got a hug. And a rose.
And then she moved that tassel to the left side and lept onto a friend to piggy back off to a grand "good riddance high school!" recession.
I super love this girl. She's kind of a mini-Kyoo. In all the crazy ways. I mean, the day before she ran her personal farthest distance of 11 miles with me, all because I kept suggesting we go "just 1 mile further" 5 times. And she kept agreeing. Basically, she'll probably be running ultra marathons in no time. And beating me. I mean, her ACT score did slaughter mine...
Anywho, I'm super glad I got to share the day with you Smil! It was worth the 28 hours in the car and almost 6 hours chilling in Moore, OK. And, if you learn how to share a bathroom, I think you've got a pretty exciting college career ahead of you.
Make the best of it!
Have a great day :-)

Nice, I love the share the bathroom part. I always told Kaylie that would be her hardest part about college too!
