Because we settled on this date today:
July 20th, 2012
In this place of places:
As long as I don't freak out and push the date back. The freaking out part is happening but I've been stalwart in keeping the date thus far. (5.16 hours and counting...). Mostly because they asked a million questions when we (meaning the Gregdude) called to schedule the temple and neither of us wants to call back and reschedule.
Did I mention I was freaking out a little? I love this man but yeesh. July 20th is so soon! There were a lot of schedules to coordinate and it just seemed to work out best.
I need to keep telling myself that.
Any stupendous ideas or tips for me? Do share.
Also, I'm nervous excited for the temple. I've been preparing my whole life to go there and make these covenants but now that it's happening I'm like "What?? No! I'm too young!! And I can be a really mean person if I don't get food! Surely I'm not ready for this." But I'm finding more peace in these next life steps as I spend more time praying and studying and less time browsing the Internets planning the superfluous details of the day. (if you consider a wedding dress superfluous...)
Let's not jump the gun though. I've bitten off all my fingernails...twice...so I'm not quite at ease yet.
Have a great day :-)

I use to work for beehive sewing garments so if you'd like any advice on what to get... let's just say I could probably help you.
My advice on going through the temple is this- relax. Don't try to remember everything or stress about sound everything perfect. At all time you'll have your escort and a worker there to help you if you need it. Instead, focus on the feelings you get. And I promise, it isn't weird. You'll always get to go back and hear everything again.
OH wow! That is so soon:) For a second I got excited because I thought that was the Winter Quarters temple and I'm actually going to be living in Nebraska in July (not that I would invite myself or anything just kind of like hey cool I'll be living there)
My advice for the next few weeks would be to try and stay focused on the big picture and not get caught up in the frivilous details... because in 20 years you won't really care what you served at your reception or what color your bridesmaids dresses were :)
All great advice...thank you so much! And Terriann, crazy that you'll be in Nebraska! I considered Winter Quarters but there were just too many people to get up there and with both of us in San Antonio it just worked out better to have it here. But if it was in Winter Quarters you definitely would have been invited...I have yet to meet these cute boys of yours in person! I hope you enjoy your time there!
