Oh what praise I have for Tauranga and Mount Maunganui. There was a lot of hype as we were approaching this town in the Bay of Plenty. It is, no exaggeration, Greg's self-proclaimed most favorite place on the planet. So my expectations were high and I was a little worried it wouldn't be as AMAZING as he'd bragged it up to be.
But then it was.
We stayed with an older friend of his who worked all day and whose wife was out of town. That gave us almost free reign of a really nice house with, again, a bed! Ohhhhhhhh and a washer and dryer.
The best part of Tauranga, besides the perfect beaches and Mount Maunganui and beautiful weather and copious amounts of fresh fruit, was the people. I met so many of the church members that Greg worked with and they were all SO FUN. We stayed up until well passed midnight our last night there just talking and laughing with a bunch. The people are hilarious.

Greg converted me to BurgerFuel. And you can't hate the doofers...

The Gregmissionary wasn't allowed to swim when he lived here. Just got to look at the perfect water and move along. So here's him finally getting to enjoy the beach!

Dad, you know that dream house you're designing for your retirement? I think you should build it in Tauranga...
