Yoo 260 - Friday Favorites

Let's kick right off with the Friday Favorites:

1). Creamy peanut butter with all its hydrogenated oily goodness. Yes, it's probably horrible for me. But I hate having to stir natural peanut butter! The oil spills everywhere and before you even get a good sandwich out of it half the jar is gone. And then it's like impossible to reach the stuff on the bottom so it's just this really hard layer of goop. So I will soak up the convenience and sugary goodness of my processed stuff and let you know if I die early.

2). Wearing shorts in January on my bike ride to work. Comfortably.

3). Corkscrew to push press. This is my favorite lift right now. Has been for a while. (eye candy is a bonus...you're welcome).

4). The paper towel in salad greens trick...to keep them fresh and not-slimy. Am I the last person to figure this out? It works so well!

5). Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. My team at work always bugs me about making cookies. Something about how I promised to bring them cookies 12 times after asking one of them to guard my desk for me on April Fool's day. (it was necessary). (i would have been on the phone with the IT help desk for 8 hours had my desk remained vulnerable). Apparently they expected cookies for 12 days in a row. I didn't come through. Now there's interest and I pretty much owe them cookies for life. So I surprise them every now and again. The ones I made for them last night were so good! (just chiselin' away at that debt, I am).

6.) I decided it would be ideal to camper van New Zealand. In one of these. (estimates for a 15-day trip for two are only around five grand right now...)

7.) The way a light beam looks on a misty morning. With all the rain particles dancing around. It's eerily cool.

I had a lot of days this week where I woke up with a "seize the day!" attitude...that all too soon slipped into a "cease the day!" attitude.  In a matter of a couple hours.  It was a struggle.  And I kept fantasizing about leaving work and just sitting in my basketball shorts with a bowl full of popcorn and Netflix "playing all" of some show.

It was really pathetic.  And then I heard the Kyoo dad in my head laughing at my pitiful state and reminding me how good and easy my life is right now.  Which was strangely helpful...

Have a great day :-)
