Yoo 592 - Weather and Mice and More

This morning the alarm went off at 5 am and not even pups stirred. It was about 5:30 when I realized I was hitting snooze. So not the most productive of mornings but I did make a startling realization whilst looking thru the forecast:

Idaho was warmer than San Antonio!

That's a foul, Texas. Red card. Penalty box. Drop and give me fifty.

Also, this.

That's where we went dog sledding. It's still disgusting.

But enough complaining about the weather. This mouse problem might be worse than I'm willing to admit...

We've rid ourselves of three so far. Two in the traps and a third that drowned itself in Roscoe's water bowl? True story. And I know there's....whoa. I was going to say I know there's a fourth because it's getting crazy and running around in broad daylight BUT I JUST HEARD A TRAP ENGAGE. Neither of us want to check it. This clearly falls under Greg's jurisdiction.

Funny story. Greg was setting the traps for the first time last week and made a comment about how it's the scariest thing to handle a rigged mouse trap. I agreed but then suggested that maybe a nuclear bomb would be scarier. Without even a pause, he came back with "Or the Ark of the Covenant". Bam! Bible humor on a Sunday. Maybe you had to be there...

Why do I suddenly have mice though? I've been keeping my house clean! We're not even leaving dishes and food crumbs laying around! And I have a dog that loves chasing things.

He's been going crazy all day trying to find the gutsy mouse that's been darting around.

And do you know how difficult it is to place those traps where a mouse can find them but my dog can't? It would be super tragic if he did. Peanut butter is his weakness! Ok, all food is his weakness. But it'd snap on his nose. Or tongue!

This is just not a fun situation.

Does it disgust you to read about my mouse problem?

I'll stop.

How about we talk about this:

It was a headline on drudge that made me laugh. Mostly the picture.

I'm still laughing.

I just ate cereal for dinner and this post is going nowhere. If you see the Pied Piper, send him my way. Over and out.

Have a great day :-)

Let Roscoe snap his nose. It doesn't hurt them, it scares them more than anything and they never touch it again. Gibbs paces in front of it because he wants the peanut butter on it, but after he touched it once, he never touches them again. Problem solved. :) Once Braelynn crawls will be a different story...
