Kyoo 22

Since pictures are worth a thousand words...

Harold and Mr. Frog all buckled in for a long trip home. Actually, we made it. They're waiting to get out and George is standing there anticipating the release. She got the honors.

Part of the pile of laundry in the back of Babar for my short trip home. The trunk was full too. It was seven loads in all.

Finally, a picture of the roses from my "Secret Stripling Warrior" for Valentine's day. They smelled even better than they look.

I love how the temple spires frame the mountains in this shot. This was taken from the gardens on top of the conference center after the afternoon session of conference. The weather was perfect at the time and it was so relaxing to just stand up there and watch the city. The fact that finals began the next day was far from my mind.

Calvin and Hobbes, reunited and spending an evening together. They're best buds. And yes, it's totally coincidence that they're in the corner. They're not in trouble.

This my new desk. I didn't get a desk this semester so I had to purchase one at DI. His name is Botticelli. He will soon be a work of art as Hasina has plans to release her creative urges on him. I requested a ninja turtles theme.

My new picnic basket set. It came complete with settings for four, the classic checkered blanket, napkins, napkin rings, a pizza cutter, a cork screw (for my bottled beverages), and the basket! I love it. Now if only I could find a good date to take on a picnic. Any takers?

This is José. He's our lamp. Yes, he's missing a toe but other than that he's in great condition. It kind of reminded me of the leg lamp in "A Christmas Story". Except, everyone in our apartment loves him so I don't think he'll mysteriously fall off the T.V. I might be wrong though, they are blasting down the street....

So there. Now, this blog is visually stimulating, as well as mentally, emotionally, and (quick, do 10 jumping jacks) even physically.

Just a few more thoughts...

Today, Miss Swan introduced me to a bird in the Benson that makes cat calls. I want a bird like that. It's quite flattering. I also got to explore the jungle and the dessert via the greenhouses. I like that place.

Special K and Snickers, I miss both of you. I'm craving a "smoothie night" and need my "smoothie" buddies back. Along with everything else we did. Fond memories.

Have a great day :)

I just have one word to say--Wow. This one word is directed at the lamp. And possibly even the desk. The lamp because I really want to know the reason behind the original owner's purchase (and for that matter, the original owner's personality and house decor). The desk because I am having fun picturing you sitting there with a thousand million books and papers and whatnot for hours on end until who-knows-when in the morning...hahaha. Thats me laughing in my head. By the way, that pic of the temple--you should send it to the visitor's center people and tell them to make it into a post card, because that pic is amazing!

So, i had the same reaction as Special K to the lamp. I can't believe your roommates let you have a bathing man in the apartment. That would never have been allowed in ours last semester. I bet Steph would have turned it around if it was there. And i miss you guys! I'm definitely coming down for my birthday! Special K- you'd better be there!

Haha, so true. We would have had to give him clothes! Craziness. And yes, I do sit at my desk piled with books into the wee hours of the morning. Don't you guys miss me?!?!?! No really, it's still fun. Yeah, I don't know who would have originally purchased that lamp but I'm glad they did.
You guys make me happy.

We do miss you, just not the piles of books into the wee hours of the morning! Can't wait to see you two!
