My favorite spot is at my grams's house under her apricot tree. In the evening, on a sunny day, I can just lie there and experience complete relaxation; like all is right in the world. The sun makes me feel golden as it shines on my face. The ditch gurgles relaxingly nearby. The green grass spreads in every direction like a glorious shag carpet (the 70s were good for something). The flower and vegetable gardens stand foreground to a brilliant landscape that plays for miles. I feel like I can see everything in this spot, but no one can see me. I love it.
I also like watching home videos. Dad, let's just say I like you with short hair. I did miss you for a few minutes today when a video showing Don came up and your voice was heard in the background lecturing him on the difference between soil engineering (or something) and microbiology. And then your countless impressions of "Ranae" and how she held the camera. I was also rather amused when they gave you the camera at Marcee's wedding. You seemed much more interested in the "beautiful lady" standing right in front of you than Marcee. If mom had known you were filming her that whole time.......hahaha. I love you dad.
And Morgie. I'm pretty sure she doesn't read this but it sure was funny to watch the both of us together when she was just a toddler. And boy did I have long hair! I knew how to work it too. A few of those shots would have made the Herbal Essences commercials seem like cartoons. Why do I keep my hair short now?
It's amazing how many memories come flooding back when watching home videos. I'm going to have to remember that and keep one handy when I have kids growing up.
Oh boy, I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. I have to travel, and move, and meet lots of new people, and be friendly. It might just be too much to handle.
Have a great day :)

Life without seeing you and Josh Groban in the same room just isn't right.
How's life?
Sorry you had to leave the solace of your grammy's apricot tree to come back to Rexburg. It is nice having you around again I will admit. I hope we can make this semester even more fun than the last. Shoot, of course we will! It's us! WoOT!
Well, thanks for being a good friend and superhero. Have fun at work tomorrow.
