Yoo 425 - Weekend Shortcomings

This is wholly exciting stuff. Read with a sense of humor so I don't sound bitter and depressed.

Here's a rainbow. For optimism. (if you can see it).

--> I dropped a Costco-sized jar of strawberry jam on the kitchen floor. It broke. I swore.

Those *darn* shards go EVERYWHERE. You'd think the gooey jam would serve to hold it all together. But no. We won't be walking barefoot in our kitchen for a while.

--> I told everyone at church (everyone being two people) an exciting story about the dead rattlesnake we saw on the road. An hour later, we drove past it again and I realized it was just a bull snake.

But it was a really big bull snake.

--> We went bowling on Saturday. I didn't bowl over 70 in all 3 games and the next day, my middle finger was swollen and sore.

From bowling.

Sore enough that I still don't even have full range of motion. (harhar, crack all your middle-finger jokes here...). I blame this on the time when I jammed it trying to jump off the Wright Brothers Memorial.

That joint will never be the same.

(it should be noted that i did bowl a spare with my left hand. that's something.)

--> Hiked with my Greggerly man. The weather couldn't make up it's mind so we trudged thru scattered showers in mud high-heels. I also misjudged how long the loop would take us and we lost daylight with over an hour left to go. All I had was a dim flashlight.

Every stick looks like a snake in the dark.

The spider population is alive and thriving here.

--> Pinterest continues to lower my self-esteem. Here we have "Natasha's Kitchen":

Meanwhile, in "Kyoo's Kitchen":

Nailed it.

Unrelated, I need a name for my new duck. Goodwill impulse buy. I'm really susceptible to those.

Maybe tomorrow I'll teach you how to pack like a pro for a hike.

Cold pizza. Cookies. Insect Repellant. And an orange. To toss around.

( ^ that is in no way related to the two pounds i've gained since friday. my finger is really swollen, yo.)

Monday? Bring it on.

Have a great day :-)

I bet yours tasted better than Natasha's, hands down.

I broke a plate in the middle of cooking class last week. Worse, the shards went all over the place. Cleaning up after the class, I couldn't believe how far they went flying. I'm truly amazed no one got glass in their eye. It was like that.

Cold pizza is awesome on a hike.

The bit about pinterest made me laugh out loud. Those "amateurs" have food stylists lurking slightly off-camera, I just know it.
