Yoo 427 - I Can Be Optimistic And These Cookies Prove It

 Some evenings are craziness.

Tonight, after a rousing day at work, I got the distinct pleasure of baking cookies for a Cub scout meeting, dropping my husband off at school, attending the Cub scout meeting, driving back to work for a volleyball game (won the championship!), and then picking my husband up at school.

The above photo? Definitely me scraping the last of the cookies off the baking sheet. In the car. Didn't have time to do that before we left...

I sound so busy and important!

But not really. Evenings that crazy come by once, maybe twice a month so I guess I'm not that "cool".

Now, a few paragraphs about those cookies.

First, they were delicious. Did they look it? Depends on your cookie preferences. Gooey and melty? You would have loved them. They didn't quite have time to cool before they were plopped in a pan and hustled off to scouts soooooo...that was that. Big pile of cookies oozing into one massive cookie mound.

Second, I had to set those cookies next to the masterfully frosted sugar cookies that looked like pumpkins and the monster cookies that had every morsel of goodness crammed into one, not melting package. I tried to set them there without notice but definitely got called out on it later and had to claim them.

Did this make me feel a tad inferior? Please. Ok, a little. But then I sat there quite pleased as all the kids gobbled up the pretty cookies and I had my whole pan-minus-two of tasty cookies to take back home.

Win! Glass (or cookie-pan) half-full! Dessert in muh lunch tomorrow!

Totally planned that.

Have a great day :-)
