Yoo 431 - Blaming Work for My Hiatus

Where's Kyoo?

...

...

Here I am!

Forever perched behind my computer...at work or at home, take your pick.

(screen selectively blacked out...basically i just went crazy in paint)

It's been several months of overtime and I worked right up until the bitter end Friday afternoon, but it's over for this year(!) and time for Christmas vacation!

And now, without further ado, the *IMPORTANT* things I've been wanting to post but never did. (the option to sleep is a pretty big trump over blogging most days).

First and foremost, this is my husband. Married 5 months already! He gives me this look when he thinks I'm being ridiculous. (apparently i am always being ridiculous when i pull out the camera). He finished yet another semester of school and I think we're down to just two left?

Hopefully in a year I'll be posting his pic in a cap and gown...

This is a cat. I'm pretty sure his name is Simba. Simba has adopted our patio chair as his official perch. I have a love hate relationship with Simba.

I love him when he's doing something crazy like trying to walk along the top of our fence or making weird faces whilst cleaning himself.

I hate him when he's napping on this chair. I'll leave the house and he'll look up like "Have fun, I'll be here napping" and then when I get back several hours later he'll look up like "Yep, I'm still here napping". Simba is a smug little cat...

This is Government Canyon. Remember how much I love Government Canyon? Nothing has changed. Trail running on these rocky paths is still my preferred Saturday excursion.

And now it's winter! Which is the best time to go! Decent temperatures and the snakes are hibernating! (at least that's what i tell myself...)

No "big runs" officially planned right now but I'm eying a couple early next year.

This is my cheesy goodbye to my first passport. Name change is really official now...

This passport got me to Canada a few times, and also to Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize for those awesome 4 weeks back on the MesoAmerica tour in 2008.

Very fond memories. The good news is that I got to keep it! I was scared when they asked me to send it in with my application for a name change but I learned the $110 fee includes return postage for your new book AND your old book.

Isn't that a bargain??

And finally, this is the stamp that made me feel just a little better about mailing in my property taxes this year.

That covers most of the highlights. Time to celebrate Christmas!

Have a great day :-)
