I'm thankful that animals like bears and woodchucks and bats get to hibernate. While I generally envy them and fight the urge to enter a light hibernationy state when the temperatures cool and the days shorten, I can be happy for them and their reclusive winter plans.
Plus, wouldn't they all starve and die if they couldn't hibernate? That would eventually crawl up the food chain and kill us all.
Yay for hibernation!
