There once was a man that wanted to hike a mountain but he had bare feet. So, he started covering all the rocks he came across with leather. He soon realized however that he didn't have enough leather to make it up the mountain.
Can you guess what he did next?
He put leather on his OWN feet and successfully reached the summit.
Moral of the story?
I'll let you think about that but it's amazing what can be accomplished when we work to change the things we can control about ourselves. I'm not perfect but I am making progress everyday to changes the things about myself that conflict with others. It is a conscious effort.
Remember that.
And I've really admired a quality in one of my teachers lately. He never talks bad about any of his students. Whenever he says anything it's with complete confidence that they're doing their best and he takes into consideration other hardships they might be experiencing. He stands up for them.
It's an amazing concept! I should try it.
Last, but not least, I find it's quite easy to pick out the faults of others. Who wants to take the easy road?
Have a great day :)
