We escaped for a few days to a cozy bed & breakfast in the beautiful Texas hill country for our honeymoon.
(sparkling tropical soda)
We had the whole cottage to ourselves. It was quiet and cozy and a place we can go back to on anniversaries.
We loved it but *sigh* the honeymoon is over. At least for the Greggers husband. I woke him up this morning, packed him a lunch, and sent him off to work. Then promptly returned to bed...I still have one more day before I have to report back to the grindstone and it is not to be wasted on alarms and early-rises!
This whole being married thing? I'm a fan. We went to a late showing of The Dark Knight Rises (loved. it.) last night and during the middle of the movie, I started to get that same sinking feeling that I always got when we were dating. That feeling that hit when I realized the night was almost over and that I'd have to say goodbye soon. But then! Then a wave of sweet relief washed over me...I got to take him home! No more saying good night AND good bye!
It's the coolest thing.
So while getting back to reality is a bit of a killjoy and there's cleaning to be done and thank-yous to be written and names to be changed, I'm a pretty happy camper. I don't know when we'll stop exclaiming "We're married?!" to each other, it' still so surreal, but we're having a grand time trailblazing this infant marriage stage.
I'm even kind of excited to do his laundry and cook dinner today...so I guess the honeymoon isn't over quite yet!
(this is where you roll your eyes and call me naive)
...and a sneak peek from the wedding. Lots more to come!
Have a great day :-)

Maybe it comes when you have kids, but I still love cleaning, laundry and cooking for him. It's just a way of serving him, and showing him how much I love him and that I'm so glad to be his wife :)
