I wish I had something more exciting to blog than more wedding pictures over a month later, but....
...I don't.
Those are some of my best people. All of them I knew at some point in college. All of them I've lived with. And all of them still consider me a friend. Miracles do happen! They came from San Antonio and Utah and Montana and it just about made the tear ducts gush. They might have been jet-lagged and road-weary and work-drained but they still managed to make the day awesome for me.
Let's at least send Christmas newsletters for the rest of our lives, ok guys?
Past that, there's not much more to say. I mean, I could tell you about how I had a work activity at Canyon Lake today and realized AFTER I removed my shoes to wade around in the water that I haven't tended to the toenails since my wedding. But that's a stone's throw past unacceptable so can you just unlive that last sentence?
I could also tell you about how the Gregdude and I NEVER get to see each other. <--that's the newlywed talking
. <-- grain of salt, take it with the next few paragraphs
Right. We never get to see each other. Work. Blech! Except for about 20 minutes every evening before we crash dead for the night. We make the most of those 20 minutes, laughing over the silliest things and exchanging animated stories about our days. (or maybe i'm the only one with animated stories...you decide). But it's still blech.
One month into the marriage and we've had to salvage a car and forfeit some travel plans and pay tuition and complain about changing a last name and listen to complaining about changing a last name and work, work, work, work, work. Just a second...let me change my font to Sarcastic..."Hi reality, nice to finally meet you."
But I couldn't be happier!!!!!
False.
A pizza would make me happier right now and I'm sure the Gregdude would love it if I were making him lemon chicken or something. Oh, and maybe a pass to vagabond it up for a year. And a car?
But I digress. What I'm trying to say is, despite how cruddy this past month looks on paper, I have to agree with all the "experts". Surfing reality has been a lot more fun with my Gregman.
(you can spit out that grain of salt now).
Have a great day :-)
